Over the  past four years, as President of Local 55 (Calgary Catholic), I have worked to ensure every member has opportunities to learn more about their Local.  

• New Teacher Orientation - opportunities for all new teachers to the district to learn about the Local

• Professional Development Sessions - working with the PD Committee we have ensured there have been monthly professional development sessions on topics ranging from Indigenous perspectives, classroom management, STEAM hands-on-learning, Teacher Mental Health and many others.  

• Maternity and Pre-Retirement Seminars

My personal experience on committees is vast and should inspire confidence that I have the knowledge and experience to understand the work that is required, both at the Local level and the Provincial level.
